About this property
Fiddlehead Creek is located on 5+ acres in the Fairview community, southeast of Asheville, NC. There are two short-term RV lots available. The setting is quiet and private, with no direct views of neighbors.
The lots are adjacent to a small native azalea nursery. Water, sewer, and electricity (20, 30, and 50 amp) are supplied, and broadband service is coming soon. There is a bear-proof trash and recycling receptacle. We feel the largest rig that can be accomodated would be a 40 foot goose-neck RV paired with a full bed crew cab pick-up. We have successfully hosted this size. We are located off of Old Fort Road which is well maintained but it is winding. Our road is Log Gap Rd, a gravel, single-lane private road. We are about 700 feet off of Old Fort Rd.
Guests may see deer, turkeys, woodpeckers, and the occasional black bear during their stay. Pets and children are welcome but must be well-managed.
The commercial aspects of the adjacent nursery should be respected. Evenings under the stars, combined with the food, beer, and outdoor attractions of the Asheville area, are the real draw here. The site is conveniently located near downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Living experience
The Fairview area is scenic and convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Harrah’s Cherokee, Asheville’s Food and Beer scene, and the Biltmore Estate and Winery. The neighborhood is quiet and the RV environment is a clearing in a wooded valley. The property is full of native flora and fauna. There is a volunteer fire department nearby and there will be occasional noise from fire and rescue activity.
