We've got you covered

We stand by our hosts and believe that renting out your property, your asset, should not come with security risk or concerns. With every Hookhub booking we include Host Damage Protection and Liability Coverage.
Host Damage Protection
Host damage protection reimburses Hosts up to $250,000 in the rare event your place or belongings are damaged by a guest during a Hookhub stay. You’re reimbursed for certain damage caused by guests to your home and belongings if the guest does not pay for the damage.
Host Damage Protection is not insurance and does not guarantee reimbursement for any claim. Hookhub may, at its sole discretion, offer eligible hosts access to Host Damage Protection for certain covered damages resulting directly from an approved guest booking made through the Hookhub platform.
Host Damage Protection Eligibility
To qualify for Host Damage Protection, hosts and bookings must meet all applicable eligibility requirements. Hookhub reserves the right to determine eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
Hosts may be required to maintain an active Hookhub account in good standing, complete requested identity verification, provide accurate listing information, comply with Hookhub Terms of Service, Host Rules, and Trust & Safety policies, maintain safe and lawful hosting practices, complete a minimum number of successful bookings or stays, maintain positive guest reviews and platform standing, and cooperate with investigation or documentation requests related to a claim.
For fraud prevention, risk management, and platform safety purposes, Hookhub may limit, delay, reduce, or deny eligibility for newly created host accounts, hosts with limited booking history, first-time bookings or guests, high-risk or suspicious booking activity, related-party bookings, self-bookings, bookings involving friends, family members, employees, business associates, or other known affiliates of the host, listings or accounts under investigation, or accounts with prior policy violations, disputes, or suspicious activity patterns.
Hookhub may require additional verification, documentation, or booking history before protection benefits become available.
Claim Documentation Requirements
To qualify for consideration under Host Damage Protection, hosts may be required to provide sufficient evidence supporting the claim. Failure to provide requested documentation may result in denial of the claim. Claims must be submitted within the timeframe specified by Hookhub after the booking ends or the damage is discovered.
Timestamped before-and-after photographs
Proof that the damage occurred during the guest's stay
Repair estimates, invoices, receipts, or replacement documentation
Communication records related to the incident
Any additional information reasonably requested by Hookhub
Exclusions and Limitations
Hookhub reserves the right to deny any claim that, in its sole discretion, appears fraudulent, misleading, exaggerated, or abusive; involves pre-existing damage or ordinary wear and tear; cannot be reasonably verified; violates Hookhub policies or applicable laws; results from intentional acts, collusion, or misuse of the platform; or involves unauthorized guests, off-platform payments, or prohibited activities.
Participation in Host Damage Protection may be modified, limited, suspended, or revoked at any time for any account, listing, booking, or claim deemed to present elevated risk to the platform or community.
Host Damage Protection is provided at Hookhub's discretion and may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Submission of a claim does not guarantee approval, reimbursement, or payment. Hookhub retains sole authority to determine claim eligibility, required documentation, reimbursement amounts, and final claim outcomes.
What’s covered
Host damage protection covers you for:
Damage to your property and RV hookups (if provided). This covers the specific space being rented for RV parking.
Income lost if you need to cancel confirmed Hookhub bookings due to damage caused by a guest (or their invitees)
Host damage protection doesn’t cover:
Damage from normal wear and tear
Loss due to acts of nature (ex: earthquakes and hurricanes)
Cleaning associated with normal check-out tasks
Other limitations apply
Hookhub Liability Coverage
Hookhub provides Hosts insurance for any renter claims through the Hookhub Insurance Policy. The Insurance Policy covers both Hookhub and its registered Hosts as insureds. This insurance does not replace a Host’s homeowners policy, but rather is designed to provide liability protection not typically afforded by a homeowners policy. Insurance is provided at no additional charge, for all bookings processed on the Hookhub platform. Insurance is only available to valid, uncancelled bookings made through hookhub.co. It is the responsibility of the host to confirm any changes to their eligibility under the requirements listed below. Our Hookhub Insurance Policy protects Hosts in the United States or Canada for up to $1 million USD for general liability claims per occurrence
In order to qualify to be covered under Hipcamp’s Insurance Policy, you must:
Never have been convicted of a felony
Have no homeowner’s or renter's liability claims against you in the past 3 years
Listed Property must be in the United States or Canada
